  1. Upload your file — Drag and drop an IFC, FrameCAD XML, FCP, or ZIP archive of XML files onto the converter tool.
  2. Review frames — Inspect each panel in the 2D frame editor. Edit members, tooling, and review QA reports.
  3. Export CSV — Configure your machine profile and export a machine-ready CSV for your roll-former.

Important Notes

  • Always verify output before sending to the machine. The converter is designed to produce accurate CSV output, but all conversion results should be reviewed by a qualified LGS engineer before running on the machine. Use the 2D frame viewer and QA report to verify every frame.
  • Supported input formats: IFC (via FRAMECAD Detailer export or other IFC authoring tools), FrameCAD XML export (single files or a ZIP archive of multiple XML files), and FCP binary files.
  • Machine profile configuration: Each CSV export uses a machine profile that maps frame tooling to machine tool IDs. Configure your profile once under Machine Settings and it will be reused for every export.
  • Pricing is per linear metre exported: You are charged only when you export a CSV, based on the total linear metres of steel in that export. Reviewing, editing, and converting without exporting incurs no charge.
  • IFC files from non-FRAMECAD tools: The converter supports generic IFC files from any authoring tool, not just FRAMECAD Detailer. Structural member classification and tooling may be less precise for non-FC IFC sources.
  • Large files: Files with many frames (50+) may take 30–60 seconds to process on initial upload.
